Celebrate 2026 With Our Craft Gold Banner
Happy 2026
“Happy New Year” is a warm wish we say at the start of a new calendar year.
It conveys good wishes for the year ahead, and hope that the person’s new year will be joyful, healthy, successful, and peaceful! It signifies a fresh start, and it symbolizes new beginnings and possibilities. It is also a celebration that marks the end of the past year and a warm welcome to the new one!
A new year is a time to reflect on the last year and to feel the excitement of new beginnings! The first thing I do is look back at the past year. All the things I am thankful for; family, health, and friendship. I also look back at the people and things I have lost, but still looking at it all with a sense of gratitude. I was thankful to have had these people in my life and to learn from the challenges of the past year. Things may not always be perfect, but, as we look to the future, don’t forget to be grateful for the past. May this New Year bring you, and your family and friends, health, prosperity, and love. I hope you enjoy this simple craft to celebrate the New Year! May it bring joy and excitement for the New Year! We have included two banners. One is made with printer paper and twine, and the other banner is made on card stock with ribbon. We also used two different printers. The banner on printer paper was done on a machine that can not print on card stock, The other banner we made with a more high powered printer that can handle using card stock. They both look beautiful, and they will a be a great addition to your New Year’s Celebration!

You will find the letters “H”, “A”, “P” , and “Y” below. You will find the numbers “2”, “0”, and “6” below as well. These letters, numbers, and more can also be found on our craft page. If you prefer, you can print out black and white letters from the crafts page, and you can color and embellish these printables anyway you like. You could print “Happy New Year”, “Celebrate”, “New Year” , or just “2026”. Next, once you’ve decided what you would like to print, click on the print icon located in the lower right side of the letter or number. After you have gathered all your letters and numbers, place them on your table, and ponder how you would like to decorate it while arranging your print outs. Next, if you are going to use crayons, paint, color pencils, or any other embellishments, collect your supplies and plan out how you want to decorate your banner. This is where your creativity can shine! Color and decorate each letter or number however you like. You also can print out the papers for the banner in the image above, “Happy 2026,” already colored gold. To print our gold banner, you just press the print icon by each of the letters and numbers. Next is the fun part, putting your banner together!

Putting The Banner Together
We chose to use the gold lettering option on the letters and numbers that we printed out. To make it sturdier, you could print on card stock. We have shown you examples for both printer paper and card stock. Note: Make sure that your print can actually use card stock because not all printers can. You could also cut the letters and numbers out to remove the white paper background. It is a stylistic choice, and whatever you decide is great! Once you have printed all your letters out, you can color and decorate the banner. Now is the time to hole punch. We highly recommend two hole punches on each letter and number. If you cut out the letters and numbers from the printer paper, and you want it to be stronger, you can glue the designs onto cardboard, paper stock, or even a poster board. Now, pick your favorite color twine, yarn, string, ribbon, etc. to use to hang your banner. We chose a gold/yellowish twine to match the letters and numbers in the example above. Again, this is a style preference. You should use whatever brings you joy. On the card stock banner, we chose to use red glitter ribbon. Now, it’s time to find the special place to hang your banner.

Hanging the Happy 20206 Banner
Once you have put your banner together, it is time to find the perfect place to hang your banner! It can be on a wall, a fireplace mantel, or hanging from a kitchen island. The possibilities are endless! You can just use a clear adhesive tape but be careful! Not all tapes will work and some may ruin paint. Tape to secure the banner to whatever surface you choose. Once you hang your banner, stand back and admire your hard work! Hopefully, you had a good 2025. Here is hoping the 2026 is even better!
