Merry Christmas Garland Craft

Merry Christmas Garland Craft

Similar to our Thanksgiving Garland Craft, we have created a Merry Christmas Garland using our images to create a fun family Christmas activity. You could also make other words like Joy, Merry, Blessed, Happy Holidays etc… We chose to color with crayons, add glitter, and pompoms making it a child friendly craft. You can use crayons, colored pencils, or paint. You can add any embellishments you would like. You could use cotton balls to make snow on the stocking and gingerbread house and buttons on the gingerbread girl or boy. Using your imagination, the possibilities are endless! We poked a hole with a pen into the empty space of the letters A and R. If you have younger kids, you can just not cut the holes for the A’s and R’s out. If you want to make it more elegant, you could color everything in gold and add glitter. To make it more durable, you can print it on card stock. You could also glue the images onto poster board. We have the entire alphabet in our craft section! To recreate this garland, print 2 Large Stockings, 1 Large Christmas Tree,1 Large Gingerbread Man, 1 Christmas Present, 1 Santa, 1 Gingerbread Girl, 1 Gingerbread House, and 1 Candy Cane. In the Collage Craft pages, there are several other images that you can use to make your Christmas Garland. Create your own master piece!

Making Our Garland

While working on our garland, we began by printing out all of the pieces we wanted to include. We choose to print out the letters to say ‘’Merry Christmas” and printed seasonal decorative craft pieces to bring more Christmas Magic!

Following printing, we then colored all of our pages with traditional Christmas colors and added glitter to multiple of our decorative pieces. Once we were happy with the level of detail, we then moved on to cutting out the letters, hole punching them and attaching them to some colored twine.

Once the craft is completed, you can tape it up along walls, countertops, and shelves to have a festive decoration for Christmas. Using our other crafts printables, with some creativity and imagination you can add some holiday cheer!
