How to Assemble the “Be Mine” Valentine Banner 💗

This sweet Valentine banner is easy to put together and perfect for decorating a mantel, wall, doorway, or party table.

Supplies You’ll Need

  • Printed banner pages (BE, Cupid, MINE)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • String, yarn, twine, or ribbon
  • Tape (optional, for hanging)

Step 1: Print the Three Banner Pages

Print the following images:

  • BE
  • Cupid
  • MINE

Printing Tips:

  • Use white cardstock for best results (recommended)
  • Print at 100% scale or “Actual Size”
  • Portrait orientation
  • Regular printer paper works too, but cardstock makes the banner sturdier

Step 2: Cut Out Each Banner Flag

Carefully cut around the outside edge of each banner piece.

Tips:

  • Follow the outer shape, including the decorative bottom edge
  • Take your time for clean edges
  • Kids may need help with this step ✂️

Step 3: Punch Holes at the Top

Punch two holes at the top of each banner piece:

  • One hole on the left
  • One hole on the right

Placement Tip:

  • Keep the holes even across all three pieces so they hang straight

Step 4: Thread the String or Ribbon

Lay the banners flat in this order:
BE → Cupid → MINE

Thread your string or ribbon:

  1. Go down through the left hole of each banner
  2. Then thread back up through the right hole
  3. Leave extra string on both ends for hanging

Step 5: Adjust Spacing

Slide the banners along the string until:

  • The spacing looks even
  • The words are easy to read
  • The Cupid is centered nicely between BE and MINE

Step 6: Tie or Secure the Ends

Once everything looks good:

  • Tie knots at both ends of the string
    or
  • Tape the ends to the wall or mantel

Step 7: Hang & Enjoy 💘

Hang your finished banner:

  • On a wall
  • Across a mantel
  • On a doorway
  • Above a party table or dessert station

Step back and admire your adorable Be Mine Valentine Banner!

Optional Ideas ✨

  • Add mini clothespins instead of threading
